Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Sanaamul Qur’an: Journal of Islamic Insight undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other.
1. Review Process
-
Each submission is first screened by the editorial board to ensure it meets the journal’s scope, focus, and formatting guidelines.
-
Manuscripts that pass this initial screening are assigned to two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant subject area.
-
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide one of the following recommendations:
-
Accept as is
-
Accept with minor revisions
-
Accept with major revisions
-
Reject
-
-
The editor considers both reviewers’ comments and makes the final decision.
-
Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the same reviewers before final acceptance.
-
If necessary, the editor may assign a third reviewer to ensure fairness and objectivity.
2. Review Criteria
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on:
-
Originality and contribution to Islamic studies
-
Theoretical and methodological soundness
-
Clarity and coherence of argument
-
Relevance to the aims and scope of the journal
-
Quality of writing and referencing
3. Review Duration
The review process usually takes 6–12 weeks from submission to final decision.
4. Confidentiality
All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not discuss or share the manuscript content without permission from the editorial board.
5. Conflict of Interest
Reviewers are required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves when necessary.
